What goes wrong without it

Brand names stay in Latin while everything around them is Cyrillic. 'Nike маратонки' has to work as one query, not two.

Case is inconsistent: shoppers type in capitals, catalogues are stored in title case, and exact matching treats them as different words.

Typos are as common in Cyrillic as in any other script, and 'обувик' finds nothing on a search bar that demands the exact term.

Bulgarian retail vocabulary borrows heavily from English, so 'худи' and 'суитшърт' are the same product to a shopper and unrelated strings to your database.
